During the lecture methods and procedures describing
the modelling process and dynamic calculations of railway vehicles will be
presented. The main focus will be concentrated on the following subjects:
> Introduction to railway vehicle construction
> Basic principles of the modelling process and multi-body dynamics
> Modelling of the coupling elements, model verification
> Wheel-rail contact
> Eigenvalues and linearised analyses
> Stability analysis
> Curving
> Running on a straight track
> Comfort analysis
> Influence of the structural dynamics on running comfort
Objective
Elaboration of the theoretical basic principles and
conditions for application of modern simulation programmes for dynamic
simulations and analysis of railway vehicles.
